Extra Credit!

Option 1:

 

Find examples of energy resources or global warming outside of school, and bring evidence to Ms. Child. Evidence could be pictures, video, or written summary.

Examples of where you might see energy resources: subway and bus ads, the news, TV ads, presidential debates, etc.

Option 3:

 

Introductions: Download the "Introductions" worksheet. Read the techniques for hooking the reading. Then write at least one introduction using one of those techniques for your persuasive letter.

 

Option 5:

 

Click on the document below for instructions on studying severe weather. You can either answer the questions on the work sheet to get a little information about a lot of natural disasters. Or, you can choose one you're most interested in, and create a Powerpoint presentation about that topic. Be sure to write a list of research questions before you begin, so you know what you're looking for.

Option 2:

 

Choose any topic you are interested in, and design an experiment about that idea. Test your experiment, and write up your conclusions. Either print out the worksheet below, or use the template to type your experiment on Google Docs. Be sure to share with ms.child@bronxwritingacademy.net

Option 4:

 

Read the article below about restorative justice. Write a one (1) page argumentative essay for or against the use of restorative justice in school. Write your essay on Google Docs, and be sure to share with ms.child@bronxwritingacademy.net

Option 6:

 

Read the article below about robotics and answer the questions. Write your essay on Google Docs, and be sure to share with mschildbwa@gmail.com
